Sonny Molina writes by hand, one word at a time, and every word is written with the willingness to lose the line he was proudest of, until the feeling behind it becomes stronger than the words themselves.
Because no lyric is more important than the meaning behind it, he does not write simply to make a line sound beautiful, he writes to give a feeling somewhere to live. Every word has to carry something, a memory, a question, a struggle, a hope, or a piece of truth that might be difficult to say any other way.
And that is exactly what makes Sonny more than just the singer singing the creation.
